Why Haiku?

I (Melanie) adore haiku and often amuse myself by thinking in the 5/7/5 format. Because my friends are just as insane as I am (we are writers after all...) they've agreed to play along.

We can't promise anything earth-shattering, ground-breaking, or... um... (what's an earthquake reference for profound?) meaningful -- just the random thoughts that fly across the screen.

Be sure to read the comments for more haiku madness. Our friends & followers are often more creative than we are.
